Our goal is to elevate the Nike Shapa Soweto microsite and app into a mobile-first, data-sensitive platform that reflects the strength of the Nike brand. Designed with accessibility and performance in mind, the platform will better serve its audience, many of whom rely on low-bandwidth connections, while strengthening brand cohesion and streamlining content management for coaches and administrators.
To achieve this, we propose a lightweight, mobile-optimised experience that prioritises fast load times and efficient data use. The design incorporates compressed visuals, lazy-loading, and minimal HD media to preserve Nike’s bold, high-impact aesthetic without compromising performance. A flexible design library ensures brand consistency across touchpoints, while an upgraded CMS enables simplified reporting, booking, and communication. Enhanced coach profiles, smart notifications, and featured content galleries will create a connected, content-rich environment. This approach empowers Nike Shapa Soweto to maintain a dynamic platform that resonates with its community and remains aligned with Nike’s global identity.
